Recipe Notes
Turnips are an excellent digestive aid.
Apples, especially those with red skin, are a potent source of antioxidant compounds that aid in weight loss, digestion, and cleansing the organs. The pectin in apples helps rid the digestive tract of pathogens. If you get an 'upset stomach' after eating an apple, this is likely a detox reaction as the apple is clearing your digestive tract of pathogenic debris.
An apple a day really does keep the doctor away. 🙂
