We always hear about the importance of drinking water.

Yet, did you know that all water isn’t the same?! To get the most out of your water, you want to make it living again.

When you add lemon or lime to water, it activates the water. This makes it a living fluid again.

This living fluid is amazing for hydration and detoxification. The lemons or limes are more powerful than plain water at grabbing toxins in the body and flushing them out.

They are also a great source of minerals and highly bio-available vitamin C.

Despite the tartness of lemons and limes, they are powerfully alkalizing in the body.

You want to drink 16oz of this recipe first thing in the morning before anything else (even supplements).

You can drink as much of it as you’d like throughout the day. I make a 64oz mason jar every day (with the juice of 2 whole lemons), and sip it throughout the day.

This is a great way to bring the most powerful kind of hydration into your day with lemon or lime water.

Here's how to make lemon or lime water.

Ingredients

  • 16 oz filtered water (See notes below for the best water filtration system)
  • 1/2 juice of a lemon
  • 1 Tbsp raw honey
  • 1-inch fresh ginger root

Instructions

1. Squeeze the juice of 1/2 a lemon into 16oz of water.
2. Add honey.
3. Slice or grate in fresh ginger root.

However, our water can be heavily contaminated. Whether it comes from your local city or a private well doesn’t matter.

For this reason, when you are making your lemon or lime water, I recommend everyone filters their water with a Berkey BK4X2 or a Berkey Light Water Filtration System.
